Haiku – 4

Spring storms lash hard, fierce

Rain and wind tear bloom from branch

Yet new growth comes still

Haiku – 3

Jasmine. Clematis.

Climbing vines of fragrant blooms

Ribbons of sweet joy

Haiku – 2

Floating Falling White

Petals dance upon sweet spring

Breezes and we laugh

Haiku – 1

A beating heart sings

Amid sweet blossoms and sun

A joyous spring hymn.

NaPoWriMo

i discovered, after i began writing haiku last night, that this is NaPoWriMo… and so this blog is begun to record my adventures.

i do not consider myself a poet. Definitely not a great poet.  That being said, this is an experiment in discipline in a form which is not entirely comfortable for me.  i shall be interested to see where this will go.

Caution: some of these poems will NOT be work or child safe (depending upon your work and children) … just so you aren’t surprised.
